Hey gang..I uploaded a route update page to my site at www.mstsgmo.com(This is inspired by you all..with a little prodding from Mike (N&W).)That's the place to see just where on the route I've gotten to...I'll try to keep it updated. The red portion of the map is what I'm almost completed so far..and the gold is what I will be building.....so you can see when you get there...just how much of a route I've taken on.The first release, I'd like to get to Bloomington (Normal North) I may also try to include the "Jack Line", but may hold off on it and place it as an addon as the route will be so big!Frame rates are the pits! I was down to 5 in one area the other night...I really hope someone comes out with a good vid card and a system to run this!Anyway..that's it fer now...
Hey, now I know what I'm workin' on!Some of you route guys really need encouragement from the community. Your routes make this whole thing interesting. A well done route makes it all seem "real". And I don't think it gets any more real than a prototype route done by someone who knows the route, and knows how to capture the prototype's "feel". Great page Paul, I like your idea of a map with a highlighted section that you're working on (I think that's what it said, right? The pictures are broken). I might try that for the IC Route page.BTW, your bridges are coming! I need to work on the textures tonight when I get home (don't have Photoshop at work ). I don't think I'm going to bed tonight, as I think I'll have to repaint the new SD40 too!
