Somehow two trackpieces were superimposed; when I attempted to delete there was this message:'Adjacent track pieces not loaded. Can't select this track piece.' Is there an alternative to deleting the entire route of 50 miles? I could go around and plant a forest over it. Any ideas? Thanks. Martin

There are several ways to approach this. First turn off camera collision mode in RE. I think this is done with the "/" key. Then hit "w" for wireframe mode. Then move around and approach the track sections from different angles to see if you can select them separately. You may need to get below the track and look up to do this. If you are able to select, delete one or both track sections. If you have a recent backup, restore it. If not, now you know why we say backup, backup, backup.Rebuilding the track database might help. Make a backup before doing this. Before doing the rebuild and after the backup, delete the tdb and rdb files in your route's root directory. If there are any backup copies of these files (.bk extension) delete those also. Then go into RE, click on advanced mode and rebuild the track database. If this succeeds and you are able to delete the offending track section(s), save, exit, and do another backup. Delete the backup you made just before the tdb rebuild.Others may have other suggestions that may help. Give this thread a few hours to develop and see what other suggestions come up.Cal Rasmussen

Just one additionbefore you delete the original backup, test, test and test again to make sure everything is there. In fact, I wouldn't delete the original backup, but would burn it to CD or something just in case.I'm also speaking from hard experience here

RE: Unable to delete trackpieces

Thank you, Cal and Robert. I removed the tbd and rdb files, rebuilt the database, and was able to remove the offending pieces. I also made a backup. A great help. Thanks again. Martin
