Ok, I think this has been discussed before, but, a few moments ago whilst poking around my routes folder I stumbled across an odd .s file. Or maybe it should have been called an .x file? I think this may have something to do with that spiral, possibly an easter egg that got nixed?Well just out of curiosity I copied the .s file, .ace file and creating an .sd file this is what greeted me upon placing it in my test route... The truth is out there?
I think that Microsoft wanted to put in a few 'secret' items that we have to look for...keep looking and there may be more (I dont know)...‡hÈ ¿ÛÑKÑÒWÑ? ØÑÉ
I have discovered this spiral, and another mysterious place, this one wierder. Go to the Activity editor and select the Maria's Pass route, then look around about where you would find this spiral, I think its somewhere around Essex, but on the other side of the track. Its an EXTREMELY short piece of straight track. Now create an activity and make it start at the beginning of this. Now play that activity in the game. You'll notice that your train is almost at the end of the stretch. Now go to an exterior view. Its just water! Now zoom in. This track is at the bottom of a pond!!!
The track at the bottom of the pond was probably placed accidently. I have done that several times, sometimes without knowing it. The first hint is strange pieces of track that show up in the Activity Editor map. The ufo appears in one of the default routes. I don't know which one or where it is located.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, ORColumbia Gorge Route (The Dalles Yard 75%)
