Is there any way to hide a section of track from the activity editor? In other words, is there a way to prevent it from showing on the map? I suspect the answer is no since the AE probably gets its data from the track database.Cal Rasmussen

I would say no, but why you would want to do that is beyond me.

If you are using track sections as scenic items and not for running trains, Dumb Tracks would work. Dumb Tracks is available from the download area.Joe

I already have some of those in place in a couple locations. Now figure this out. Those locations do show on the map. I think I'm going to drive you guys/gals crazy with my subtle hints. Let me just say that although Columbia Gorge is primarily a prototypical route, there are going to be some mysteries thrown in for fun. At least I'm having fun doing them. I hope others have fun discovering them.

Hi Cal, I tried to find a way to remove Sea View's secret area from the AE with no success. I did remove it from maps, figuring that most people would not look at the route with the AE. Even in the AE, something you don't want people to see isn't obvious on a route with a lot of track.Bill Burnett

I figured out the "Secret Area" by looking in the AE where there seemed to be an island, and seeing that there was no stations, platforms, signals, or mileposts, I found out the nearest island, and had to take the train backwards to get there...(I hope I didn't reveal too much about your "Secret Island") hehe------------------------------------------------------------I'll never let go of the railroad that inspired me to be involved with trains, the Union Pacific!A challenge for the rest of the route guru's – image 10
