I am sure this has been discussed but I haven't been following the Xtracks discussions very much. I note that switch points for the new switches in Xtracks are not animated. In some cases, the points don't even show. The rails just merge together. In other cases such as slips, all the pieces are there but they don't move. Are there any plans to change this in the future. Yes there is but don't hold your breath. The only ones I've animated so far are the stubs cause if not they would not be stubs. The points are, as you noted, simply merging the rails without any animation. When I first released it I expected there would be complaints about this but actually few seem to have noticed.
Thanks for the comments, Okrasa. I was not criticizing. Since I am a latecomer to Xtracks, I was simply making some observations. I was curious to see how the slip switches worked and that is where I first noticed the lack of animation.I should have installed Xtracks long ago. I am laying track in The Dalles yard right now and thanks to Xtracks, it is going about four times faster than Wishram yard which was done almost entirely with dynamic track! Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to improving an already enjoyable hobby.Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, ORColumbia Gorge Route (The Dalles Yard 75%)
