POLL: Should I use the concrete tracks on my Metra route? As you approach the OT station in Chicago from Geneva, you enter a huge cement-floored building. Here there is no ballast under the tracks and the track ties are concrete. I already figured out I would need Xtracks for the Chicago switchyards, but should I download the concrete ones too? On One Hand: Concrete tracks would look nice and make it more realistic. The concrete tracks could also be used by other routes. On the Other Hand: I could bury the ballast and most of the track and all of the ties like at RR crossings. I would mean less frenzy over tracks to download and an easier setup.

I would be willing to download the concrete tracks for better realism and so I can use them somewhere else, too. 5 votes, 83% Vote for this choice Don’t use concrete tracks! Very little of the route uses them, and I hate having to download more stuff before I can drive the route! 1 votes, 16% Vote for this choice
