I'd like to bounce an idea off you all....My Osprey Lake and Northern has a small Silent Movie Studio going up outside the town of Beecher, and it struck me that maybe some of you traction people modeling Los Angeles routes might like a 1930's era movie studio lot for your street cars to stop at. What I had in mind was a set you could download that would include: Studio Gate with gaurd shack Administration Building Sound Stage (Place as many as you'd need) Wardrobe/Prop/Etc building.Combined with my western buildings and others out there, you'd have the potential to create your own major studio complete with backlot. Mind you, this is still all in the planning stages as I need to research the dimensions of an actual soundstage among other things, and I've several of my commercial buildings projects ahead of this. Just thought I'd see if there was any interest.Don
Ride the Route of the Bathing Beauty, ride the Osprey Lake and Northern.
Don, I'll take a quantity one (1) movie studio. I don't think they ever made movies up in the neck of the woods I'm modeling, but I'm sure I can use it somewhere. Dave
With all those movies we'll be making in those studios, think about making a Drive-in movie theater, the kind that were all over the place in the 50's, 60's and early 70's. Of course, the screen should have an animation on it for when we go by.Martyn T. Griffin griffinmt@mindspring.com
