First off, my apologies, in my haste to congratulate you on a job being well done, I called you "Don" in an earlier post. I've now had time to browse your website more thoroughly and am absolutely amazed at the level of belieavbility and accuracy you are achieving in you L&PS route. Your attention to detail is like Paul Fowler's GM&O: Exceptional.Would you mind answering a few questions? The trackage: Are you using X-tracks, or default trackage? The turntable: Is the turntable stationary BUT functional in that you can run a train across it and into the stall it's aligned for? If so, I would have never thought of doing that! That would be an answer to the upcoming Frisco Roundhouse that needs to be at the Ft. Smith Yard. Doing this would at least allow the structure to be there (as it's supposed to be) and still have limited functionality instead of being purely aesthetic. Thanks for your time.Andre "Coonskin" Ming

Thanks - I am glad you enjoyed the photos of my route. Much of the good result derived from the information and tips provided by the users of this forum so thanks to you all for that.To answer your questions:1. All the track is UK Fine Scale by Tim Booth. ( http://www.trainsimfiles.net/track/ ) I found it better represents the light 80lb rail used on the L&PS and by using stock MSTS track for the intersecting steam roads, I get a good contrast in rail appearance to the heavier steam mainlines.2. The turntable is entirely stationary, however the track was laid across it and into the opposite stall of the roundhouse. BTW, the entire engine facility is only background scenery with a few AI locomotives shuttling around for effect. The L&PS is an electric powered route but its tracks passed close enough to this Wabash engine facility that I had to include it. The result is the back of the roundhouse is highly detailed, but the front is not. Things like the sand tower and coal tower are fairly distant from the L&PS tracks and are very low detail models. What's interesting is the L&PS also passes by the Michigan Central engine facilities and the Pere Marquette engine facilities - so, for a traction modeller, I will be building a lot grimy roundhouses and coal towers before I am done.I am happy to share my techniques, so let me know if there is anything else that you are curious about.

RE: L&PS

Thanks for sharing some input with me Wayne. Much appreciated.I will very likely take you up on your offer to divulge more of your techniques on the roundhouse and turntable idea when the time approaches for me to attack that area on my route of choice.Though I'm not modeling traction, great work is, well... great work!Andre "Coonskin" Ming
