Hi all,Just uploaded two new commercial buildings into the file library today. They're the Hotel Alice and Kay's Corner Cafe. They're based on some 1880's era buildings I've seen while out train spotting with my buddy Gary and helping him with his research on the C,A&E. These buildings would fit into any downtown area from the late 19th century up to the present. Check out these pics I took. Some of the pieces look out of place I know, but I went back in and fixed them before creating the zip file I uploaded to the library. My next project is going to be a hardware store.Don (Builder of cyber buildings for cyber people to live and work in.)

I know just the place for these. Very nice models. I particularly like the footpath/sidewalk added as this is something missing from the sim. Easy enough to hide if not wanted. Cheers
Excellent Don! Thanks!Kay's Cafe is a very good facimilie of a structure needed for Van Buren, Akransas on the abuilding Ft. Smith Sud Division of the Frisco! In fact, both of these stuctures will be going onto Main St. in Van Buren.IMHO, there's a definite lack of "small town" American structures for MSTS. More, more!Andre "Coonskin" Ming

Next up will probably be a small movie theatre, (I'm doing a little research into how one might have looked in 1904 since that's the era my Osprey Lake and Northern is set), and might offer two versions, one in the 1904 configuration and the same building updated to perhaps mid 1950's appearence with the big marquee out front (Anyone know if it's possible to animate the chaser lights?) Also in the works is a big late 19th century courthouse that'll take up an entire block in my town of Beecher. Anyway, the Bar and Hardware Store (Check out the sign in front)) were uploaded this morning and I hope you'll enjoy them. Post some pics of them on your route if your inclined.Don (I build cyberbuildings for cyberpeople to live and work in!)

Great Buildings!! Now I need a two-story department store, about a half block long, in gray concrete (1930's). I can wish can't I? This shot is in Hibbing MN, a town whose original name was Alice, so it's quite appropriate. I was looking for something for a main intersection corner, and Kay's is just perfect (although sidewalks were already in, so I had to lower the models slightly. Thanks again. Dave

I do have a Department store in the works, but it'll be in the late 1880's early 1900's style my other buildings are, I don't know if that would work for you, but let me know.Don
