I downloaded a copy of the 1950's activity for the NE Corridor but one of the train sets is no longer available. I tried to contact the developer to see if he had fixed this porblem but the e-amil came back for bad address.I tried patching it with a different consist but I guess I don't know enough as this didn't work either.I now want to remove the activity and all the trains but am not sure how to do this. I have Route Control and have tried using this to fix my errors in the activity without success. Any ideas?ThanksWally
I ran into the same problem. I got a little creative with CONSIST BUILDER and was able to fix the problem activities. If I remember correctly, the problem is that the cabviews and sounds to the ESE are missing. I copied the files from the Royal Scotsman, and renamed and did the usually tweaks the files to get 'em working. I think I still have my fix intact, but since then, I picked up the ESE/NA transets, so maybe not. Otherwise, maybe someone else can post a fix for this. Infact, there's a lot of steam engines posted last year that use these files that are no longer free, and this kind of makes those repaints and engines useless to download. Do a quick search maybe some one did do a fix for it.
http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID6/4559.html If you're looking to remove an add-on activity to a default route, it's pretty easy. Go in the default route's main folder, do a tools, find, files or folders, click on the date button, click on modified between, and type 5/31/01 (or 31/5/01 if you're European) and today's date, that will give a list of all non-KUJU files. Note that the folders are created when you install the route so they will pop up with whatever the date of install was, but the file dates don't change, so delete all the files that show up. If you make a note of the dates of the files, you can then go into \Trains\Consists and delete the offending *.con files looking for missing engines, if Route Control hasn't already done that for you.Activity calls for \Consist\*.con files. \Consist\*.con files call for \Trainset\Engine_or_Car\*.eng or *.wag So the trick is to start at the top and work your way down the chain, deleting the activity files that look for the consists won't do any harm, and once those are gone deleting consists that look for trainsets won't do any harm. It's going in the other direction that causes all the grief.
