I can't load the route I was working on into the sim. It says 'train world initialisation failed'. The route 'initialises' into route editor, but not into the sim. Is there a certain file to fix this. ThanksRyan Fielding MCT
Hi,Oh boy, I am always confused. There are two of this train... messages.I believe this one has something to do with the EnvFiles folder. It is empty or the content is corrupted. Check the Envfiles folder. And the other one is problems with the Track Textures.Dick van den Hoven
I have checked the envfiles folder and the track textures and there is nothing missing, but the problem still persists. This route was version 1 of MCT, due for release next week. This will delay that.Cheers Ryan Fielding MCT
This could be a broken path. If you have changed any existing track, you need to go into the activity editor and recreate any broken paths. Cal Rasmussen Beaverton, ORColumbia Gorge Route (Construction resumed on The Dalles Dam)
Failed to load header tape = Acleantrack1 or 2 missing or corrupted. Failed to initialize train world = missing/corrupted file in \Envfiles. Quickest fix, copy the \Envfiles folder from \Templates, paste it into your route folder. The RouteName.trk file has the database in it for which set of .env files the sim will look for, this defaults to the set from \Template\Envfiles, so copying \Envfiles from Europe 1 won't do any good unless you change the entries in the .trk file from sun.env, rain.env, and snow.env to UKsun.env, UKrain.env, and UKsnow.env. There is a seperate editor.env, which is why you can sometimes open in the editor but not the sim, when you go to run the route in clear weather it looks for sun.env, when you open in the RE it looks for editor.env. You'd think they woulda made these error messages a little less cryptic, it would save a lot of teeth gnashing.
