RE: Dem's

You should try the University of California. If they have a geology dept. they probably have the data available for public use. I found the University of Missouri had the data available for every county in the state and it worked beautifully with Demex.

RE: Dem's

Mapmart is the best site for free Dems in my opinion. I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that they want a grand for Dems. State bundles are a whole different issue. I've downloaded almost 20 of them so far, and they were all free.

At www.mapmart.com, if you order ten or fewer DEM files, per order, and accept delivery by download, the files are free. When one order is completed, hit back three times and make your next order.David Beach.

here is an easier way. BTW Getright or Gozilla work great for this.
1. Select all the dem's that you want to get.
2. place your order, they will all come up with the first ten linked for DL.
3. Download the first ten or Que them in Getright
4. go back one page, DEselect the first ten that you have just downloaded. Place order again
5. repeat steps 2 - 4

>Rick Not quite correct. Demex will work with the tar.gz files as easily as Microdem. Don't really need anything else.Lawrence
