I just discovered that BOTH of my MSTS CDs are damaged and no backups. I have arranged with someone to send me copies of their disks. My point is, this could happen to you. If you have a CD burner, make backup copies of your MSTS CDs. If you trash the simulator tonight, do you have a way to reload it?

Bad news, disk one will let you burn it, but disk two is copywrited and cannot be copied. At least not with Easy cd creator 5. If you do manage to find a way to copy disk 2, please let me know. my disk one got damaged, andthe backup worked fine, but the copy of disk 2 crashes during install.

I have requested replacement CD's from MS. If/when I get them I will try using Norton Ghost to back them up.

RE: Surprise, Surprise

Never had a problem burning both CD's. I had to reload MSTS after a crash and I loaded it from the copys and works like a charm. I use Nero 5.5Disaster Waiting to Happen… Are You Ready? – image 5

What damaged the CD's in the first place? A tip there might be helpful. Between music CD's and software CD's, I've gone through literally thousands, never had one go bad without me causing physical damage to it. I've reinstalled the simulator several times, on several computers without incident.

RE: Disaster Waiting to Happen...Are You Ready?

I placed both CD's in a two-disk jewel case and the center hub was apparently over stressed when snapping into the case.
