Here's the first screenshot from the Dyre Avenue Line: Looking south north of the switches just to the north of the not-yet-started E. 180 Street Station. This is just the start. I have to build a bridge over the 3 track White Plains Road Line which carries the 2 train and the rush hour 5 train. After that, it should be easy!
Don't expect any progress this week. I'm leaving right now to go sailing in Newport, RI until friday. If all goes well, I'm taking the Acela home, but then I'm going upstate for the weekend, I won't make any progress until monday at the least. I will include the Bronx River Parkway, but I'm doing the track first so it might be a while.
Just kidding about the BRP -- just wondering, what era are you going to try to stick with on this project? I know dealing with the Route Editor is a real pain in the derriere....Dunno if you were around then, but the present Dyre Avenue station platforms aren't the originals. The original wass on the right side as you head into Dyre, as it was just a local stop on the NYW&B....it was there when I lived in the Bronx, and sometime between 1968 and 1979 (I was out west...) it was removed and replaced with the current platform which sits over the old express track. Also the crossovers at Gun Hill were NOT there in 1980 or before....dunno when those were put in.
