DCForum Discussion Forum - N&NJ

I am about to download all the N&NJ route, have reviewed the posts and understand the additional files needed for the activities as well as XTracks requirement. My question is, while I am accumulating the extra needed files can I just install it and explore the route with my own consists, and wait to do the activities until I can get all the needed extra files, or do I need all the added files in order for it to load at all.. ???
