Jun-06-02, 06:17 PM (EDT) "Making Track Sections" Brief preface, I've been reading quietly for months and
have learned an enormous amount, and have made great progress
on my narrow gauge route. Manys thanks to all who post those
helpful hints and make those handy utilities and add-ons.On subject, I recently started making new track sections to complement those in Xtracks, and was having a great deal of
trouble. The problem turned out to be that MSTS appears to have a minimum section length of 0.2 meters (at least for simple straight track). Anything less than or equal to 0.2m will cause
the "send report" error when the section is de-selected after
placing. Sections 0.201m long and longer work fine.I noticed that my track sections have jaggies where the
rails of adjacent sections meet. I plan to extend the track
shapes just a few millimeters at the ends (leaving the
section lengths as is) so they graphically overlap a little.
Does anyone know of a reason not to do this? 3footer
