May-10-02, 07:14 PM (EDT) "Route Editor Won't Let Me Delete Track: HELP!!" Everyone,I've been working (more like fiddling) with Route Editor for a little while now, and am discovering a recurring problem. Every now and then, the program stops allowing track manipulation using the keyboard: I can't delete or rotate track sections using the 'Delete' and 'T' keys. The only way I've been able to fix this problem is to start my route over from scratch. Thankfully, I've never really lost anything impressive.I'm mostly working on small sections of trackage, like a classification yard or segment of a short-line railroad, nothing like a complete route. I have Xtrack 3.0 installed, but the problem was occurring before I installed it. I'm running an HP Pavillion 8500 with Windows 98.This is most annoying. Anyone with any ideas please help before I lapse into a Kuju-induced coma!Sinc,

The most important thing is to save often! Be sure nothing is selected (click on the sky, as someone said to do) before you save your route. Get out of the Route Editor and then come back in - that usually refreshes it for another session. If you're really memory impaired (your computer, that is), you may be wise to reboot every few hours as well. Once you get involved with a route, make backups and store them in a safe place too!Good Luck! - Andrew
