May-01-02, 01:22 PM (EDT) "Would anyone be interested in NEC 2.1?" I'm working my way down the rails on Bill's great rework of the NEC route. Realistic car spawners, aligning some objects and buildings for better perspectives. All the way from Philly to Washington, and I'm almoooost done. I should've asked Bill for his blessings before posting this, or is anyone interested in my revamps to begin with? I'm no pro myself, but just learning how to use Route Editor and such. Not to toot my own horn, but I think I really livened up Philly Sta. atleast. ;)
But I'll never outdo The King, Bill Knowles. But I'm not so good with uploading and all that, if in fact people are interested? Easier to bring stuff home from work, than to bring it back for me... technically speaking. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

LAST EDITED ON May-03-02 AT 08:06 AM (EDT)Well, NEC 4.0 doesn't sound like it will be out till July or August so we can all use your NEC 2.1 until then. It will be awesome when it is done though since they are also adding in the CSX Freight line. This will effectively double the amount of tracks in the route. I know what you mean about making your work obsolete though. Motley24Crue2 have been holding off on the NEC Extension Project for a little while in order to ensure that our work will be compatible with the NEC 4.0 when it is released. My project is really for my own interest, just enjoy getting these things in 'perspective' by the tracks now. Maybe I'll tidy up this new NEC that's coming, and make it 4.1 as well? I Would also like to see your work, but as for my Project it is on hold for the time being when V4 is Released then i will continue my work and now since i ride the Train to and from work i Travel 9 Miles of the Northeast Corridor each day between Septa's R7 Bridesburg station and Eddington Station. so when I Finally get around to Building again I'll more then Likely take it to Eddington which would be in or around the Range of 12 or 15 Miles outside of 30th Street station. But beside the NEC Mainline it self im planning on Including the Frankford Yard (Located at Frankford Jct., Philly) as well as the Bustleton Subdivision which is Freght and Branches off at Holmesburg Jct. and Other trackage that isn't in place any longer. So for the 15 or so miles im going to do I have a lot Planned as far as track goes.George, When we do Get around to Restarting this Project when I get my trackage laid I'll upload that to you so you can do your thing with it.But as I said in my other post regarding this when I do Eventually get around to this I'll be working on a New faster computer... Intel Pentium 4 2.0ghz 1 or 2 gig Rdram and Geforce 4600 Bob
