Apr-21-02, 11:23 AM (EST) "Fill under grade" Seems when i maintain a constant grade in teh route editor that after a while the terrain won't go up any higher, leaving a gap between the track and teh fill underneath it. it only gets bigger and the grade keeps on climbing. Can anyone help? Simply hitting the y button doesn't bring it up to level anymore. I also tried using the terrain extractor but that doesn't work either. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

The problem sounds like you passed the default 65 meters ceiling with the track, you have to select the terrain texture tool, F7 I think it is, the one where you change the texture and toggle water on and off, and there's a setting in that menu after right clicking to change the ceiling height.Message Areas - "Fill under grade" – image 1

"RE: Fill under grade" LAST EDITED ON Apr-21-02 AT 03:37 PM (EST)You want to first set the max height to slightly more than the elevation of the adjacent block of tiles if your going uphill. Set the min height to 30m less than the max. The floor will be move to max height when you press ok. Right click and re open the same window and add 80m to the max height. The floor will not move this time but it will allow you to go up an additional 80m using the y key or terrain tool.
If the initial max setting was 70m, in the above example, then the y key and terrain tool can be used at elevations of 40m through 150m with the floor set at 70m. The difference between the max and min settings cant be more 126m. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

In my Nescio route I use a down limit of -63 and an upper limit of 3350 on all tiles ( yes, this is righty, no typing error..).
No problems whatsoever here...Ron
