Apr-16-02, 06:53 AM (EST) "How to raise terrain?" Hello,I have designed my first route following the advice of the MSTS help topics, laying all the tracks at level zero, and now I see that the simulator makes a very ugly line in the horizon.I would like to know if there is some way to raise all the terrain without altering it, for example 100 meters. For tracks and objects I know how to do it, modifying by hand the entries in the files from the "world" files, but for the terrain it is more difficult. Does somebody know about the tile file structures? Thanks, gràcies o__ = -

Hello Michael,I've tried this: with the RGE and height offset I can only add adjacent tiles to the route, all new tiles are flat but the terrain has the height from this offset - I should have done this at the start! The tiles that have already terrain are unmodified at 0 level.I'll try to understand the structure from the tile files and then write a utility to modify the hieght values, in case I find wich bytes there are.Gràcies, cordialment o__ = -

just an idea: what if you raise an object, select a wide stamp with shallow embankment and press Z.
Cheers,

Yes, but the problem is: the terrain is already formed, and very difficult (100 km throught the mountains) and I'm searchig to raise the terrain as is with all hills, lakes etc... that is the problem. Otherwise I have to restart from the beginning, probably the only way. Thanks o__ = -
