Apr-12-02, 10:37 PM (EST) "MBTA progress" Well, in spite of a few hiccups here and there, the MBTA route is progressing. I'll try to get some screen shots done in the next couple of days.
I got as far as the Route 128 station. Just about 30 more miles to go before I get to Providence, RI. Wish me luck.
All I can say is "Thank goodness for backups". Phewwww!Joe: alias simerjoeMessage Areas - "MBTA progress" – image 1 Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-15-02, 08:39 AM (EST) 4. "RE: MBTA progress" Question? Does the MBTA route you are working on run along the NEC at all? I am not familiar with the area so I was wondering if you could tell me if it does or not. Thanks. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-15-02, 08:47 AM (EST) 5. "RE: MBTA progress" Yes it does. The MBTA is a commuter route that runs on the same trackage as Amtrak.

Apr-15-02, 09:56 AM (EST) 6. "RE: MBTA progress" SimmerJoe, when you are done laying the track and scenery but before you place the signals, car spawners, pick up objects, mileposts or speed limits could you contact me or Motley24Crue2. Motley24Crue2 thinks he may have found a way to combine routes if those items are left out. So it would be interesting to see if we could get it to work with our NEC extension. It would be really great if we could get your MBTA to work with the NEC extension. Or even better tie it in to the route when we get to NYC. Another possibility would be if you wanted to build your route to NYC along the NEC we could possibly meet there. That or if we can't combine the routes use NYC as a crew change point like what we are planning on doing in Harrisburg. Anyway, let me know what you think of these ideas or if you would be interested in doing any of them. Thanks and I will look forward to hearing from you. Apr-16-02, 09:58 AM (EST) 8. "RE: MBTA progress" True, it was just a thought though. I was thinking why build the same section of track twice is all. Really though it was just an idea I was throwing out there to see if it might be a possibility. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
