Apr-03-02, 04:22 PM (EST) "Distant Mountain Terrain" DEMEX has a feature called distant mountains which I have not tried to use, yet. I assume that I will need the DEM's containing the desired mountains. There are several prominent mountain peaks visible from the Columbia Gorge. These include Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Jefferson. The closest is probably Mt. Hood and it is about 40 miles away. What I am wondering is will these mountains be visible in MSTS using the distant mountain feature of DEMEX? Then there is the question of texturing the peaks so they look real.Cal Rasmussen

Apr-03-02, 09:01 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Distant Mountain Terrain" If you have paid for the full version of DEMEX, there are instructions included for producing the Distant Mtns. It is not a straight-forward process, but is relatively easy.JHS Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Apr-05-02, 11:34 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Distant Mountain Terrain" I started reading about it last night but it looked a little more complicated than I could accomplish in 10 minutes! I will look at it more later. I would really like for those peaks to show.Message Areas - "Distant Mountain Terrain" – image 1
