Mar-04-02, 08:03 PM (EST) "Crossing issue unsolved with search." I laid a crossing where I wanted it. But after doing a search of the threads, I cant seem to find where to put the sensors, or even how. I tried putting a level crossing on the tracks to see if that would work, but it keeps saying it's too far from tracks or road. Any suggestions? Thanx

It's a little awkward because you can't see the X, but you have to place them near the center of the track where the road crosses. Leave the orange/yellow? box where it is, but move the signal where you want it. You need one for each side of the road. I've had best luck using the individual crossings rather than the ones that have both sides hooked together.Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

When I've tried to the the same, and have gotten the same message you've gotten, I just keep trying until it takes. It appears (to me) that the placement of the crossing gates is very sensitive. I try to be right on top of the level crossing, put the marker squarely on the junction of the traffic marker (blue line) and the level crossing, and hope for the best. Usually takes me a couple of tries, but eventually it will take. Don't know what the problem is, but after three or four tries, it works. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
