Mar-01-02, 02:35 AM (EST) "HELP with Pick up Objects And rolling Stock" HI please Help I understand the concept of the pick ups but have no clue on what cars i need to use for each pick up so could someone please tell me what cars are for the: Sand Pick up

Gravel Pick up I think i got them all but if not please tell me and help with the rolling stock for these pickupsKevin van Buytene

Mar-01-02, 11:36 PM (EST) 1. "RE: HELP with Pick up Objects And rolling Stock" Kevin, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but as of today, the "pick-up" options for freight don't really work. This seems to be one of the things that Kuju intended for the game but was unable to impliment because of time restrictions. I have struggled with this for a while now, and have given it a restfor a while to try to recover some sanity and let my hair grow back in. No matter what is done, the freight cars simply will not load! You can load coal into the tender of a steam engine, though. It's pretty nifty to watch the coal fill the tender to the top. You can also add water to your tender. You just can't add freight to your freight cars.Not all is lost, however. If you simply want to animate a trackside object so that it LOOKS like loading is happening, that is possible with freight cars...there is no animation of the car filling up, and the weight (mass) of the car does not change. Myself and many others have posted quite a bit about this very subject. If you're interested search the forums for "pickup object" or "coal hopper" or "loading".
