Feb-24-02, 01:02 AM (EST) "Marker Position seems off" I'm putting in markers for track locations. I've used the Universal Marker File Conversion, but Wes Downs... I pulled my data from the original .mif data files that came with this program. After loading up my route to look at them, they seem to be off slightly. How would I go about finding out how off they are and move them to the correct position. Or, is there a more precise method to getting marker placement? I have Garmin Mapsource, and I've made a waypoint route - but I don't know if I can use that data for the markers, or not. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-24-02, 01:34 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Marker Position seems off" Upon further investigation here is what I've come up with...
There is a defined peak, that according to several different online maps is at 41.13058/-111.70383.... however, in train simluator this peak is at 41.12685/-111.70575. In the new version of DemEx, there is a way to shift terrain.. but I don't know how to calculate these values. Can someone help me with this? Thanks so much!
