Feb-23-02, 07:04 PM (EST) "We have Terrain in Australia !!!!" I am _very_ pleased to say that DEMEX 1.0 finally works for Australia. I have hills everywhere now !Version 0.98 had all sorts of coordinate problems and errors and I thought I was still doomed to failure but version 1.0 works just fine on scanned & digitised XYZ, DTED0, GTOPO30 and all in either UTM or lat long format !Fantastic !! I want to thank John for this, especially since the motivation to fix up DEMEX for this region is probably low given the poor availablity of data.Thanks to the efforts of John, Prof Guth, Zorcan and DCM the route building process is now much more fun for Australia. Zorcan did it first (for me anyway) giving the ability to use digitised maps complete with very nice user manual and neat track bed tool, and now DEMEX has come of age.The only glitch I can _possibly_ note is the route tiles seem to be displayed too far south over the DEM. East-West seems fine, but North-South seems out by ~30km too far South. I need to experiment more to see if this is a DEM, DEMEX or RGE problem (or user error).Anyhow, once again thanks to the selfless efforts of these people and others toward MSTS.
