Feb-23-02, 03:21 PM (EST) "Coal mine" I'm currently working on the Orin Subdivision of the BNSF/UP railways. I have laid track to a few mines and was wondering if there is anyway to load empty cars from a overhead coal load out. Anyway that i could keep running a train underneth the mine load out? "RE: Coal mine" Right now, you can activate animation in a pickup object for "freight" (as opposed to "fuel" ie tenders), but there is no animation in the cars, and the cars do not change mass. I've been working on this for a while now, and I have just about come to the conclusion that, like the turntable, this feature of MSTS was not fully implemented in the sim's programming. MS/Kuju just left enough evidence too wet our whistles. Actual freight loading operations may have to wait for another patch, or fore MSTS2.Wish I could be the bearer of better news!

"RE: Coal mine" I would love to see that form of operation, as well. perhaps you could set up a scenario where full cars are waiting on a siding and you have to drop off empties and pick up fulls. Or, have the train pull under the loader, then trigger an end of activity. Then start a new activity with a loaded train. Not the best solution, but it would achieve most of your goal.Mike Message Areas - "Coal mine" – image 1

Feb-24-02, 08:58 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Coal mine" hmmm....Loading a 1.5 mile long coal train at 1.25 mph - won't that be a fun activity! Especially without any pacesetters in MSTS. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
