Feb-19-02, 00:00 AM (EST) "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" The extreme fantasy route, Sea View 1 has been uploaded and should be available in a day or two. This route is different. You can get an idea whether it might appeal to you from the screen shots below (all previously posted). I am not posting screen shots of the most unusual areas because I would prefer that you see them first from the cab of your locomotive. There is no way that I could have completed a route without the posts of the regulars on this forum, especially Jim Ward. Thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge, it is sincerely appreciated.Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 1 Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 2 Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 3 Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 4 Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 5Message Areas - "Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" – image 6 Hope some of you enjoy Sea View.Bill Burnett

Feb-19-02, 07:34 AM (EST) 2. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" The setting looks like a cross between Key West and Bangkok. How about the FEC line to Key West as a route? Single track, lots of passing sidings, custormer sidings, a large teminal at Key West with pier trackage and give those palm tress a real workout. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-19-02, 03:10 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" Updates? I guess it depends on the response and interest. There are some pretty unusual things along the way that people may not feel are consistent with the spirit of a sim. However, I have some really neat ideas that I haven't developed yet. I may just start on Sea View 2 tonight. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-19-02, 03:25 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" One thing about a fantasy route, you can do whatever you want. (Actually, you can with a prototypical route, but there are some people who will get very upset.) So, go for it! By you sharing your creativity, it will provide more ideas for other developers.Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-19-02, 06:56 PM (EST) 9. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" We're looking forward to driving your route too. It looks very nice indeed. I see folk are asking about updates and addons as well already. While I fully respect the dedication of the people who design trains, trainsets and routes etc and their efforts to get everything to the measurement of reality, speaking for us, we just enjoy variety..... sometimes, the whackier the better. It adds to the fun.So I say, go with all your ideas and let's see them run on our screen.Kind regardsChugger_2 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-19-02, 06:45 PM (EST) 8. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" Signalmaster, I actually thought about doing the route to Key West and eventually may if no one else does it. Jason Webb will soon release his Florids route running from Jacksonville (I think) to Tampa (I think). That is where the palm trees in my route came from. Maybe he will eventually get it to all the way to Key West. I am having so much fun with Sea View, that I don't expect to quit adding on to it anytime soon. Plus, a fantasy route like mine is so much easier to do than a real route. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-20-02, 08:29 AM (EST) 13. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" SD80MAC,Lots of 45 degree yard curves and maximum grades. Sea View is definately a low speed route and requires appropriate consists.
Sorry, but I did not originally intend to release the route. I was just playing and learning the Route Editor. Then things got a little out of hand and others encouraged me to release the route. Thanks for your interest. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-21-02, 03:00 PM (EST) 15. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" That is one sweet route! I cant wait to get my hands on it! Umm one question <forgive me if this has been asked before> but are there any people on the route, like on the beaches or is there going to be.??? I think liek some people on the beaches, umbrella's, maybe a vollyball net would add a nice touch. I am not saying the route is bad, just saying this as an idea that you could build on if u wanted to .. either way gatta love that route thanks for your time,

Feb-21-02, 06:56 PM (EST) 16. "RE: Sea View route uploaded - - Screenshots" Jim,I had to make a deserted beach for now. The few people currently available to use in routes aren't dressed to look right on a beach. I am not very technical. I just stick a tree here or there. I have no idea how to make people in bathing suits, beach unbrellas, etc. People who do know how are regularly cranking out new objects, so maybe I will be able to improve the beaches soon.
