Feb-13-02, 07:35 PM (EST) "Tapiola Re-Uploaded" I am currently in the process of reuploading Tapiola.I asked Nels to remove it so I could get it in better shape for distribution, and it is now considered version 1.2. Those who have already downloaded it do NOT need to redownload and reinstall if they do not want.I fixed the carspawing problem with the stake truck. AND, I tested it myself by installing and running a locomotive down to Michigamme to watch the cars (autos) go by.I have compressed the files so that the download is a little bit smaller. Also, I have split the main file into 7 pieces, so you now have 7 files to download, all about 6 MB each. This will allow for those with lower-speed connections to get the files in an easier fashion. Please note that because of splitting the main zip file some special instructions have been written, which are in the readme1st file and quoted below:"These files uses Zip 2.0 technology in the split archive. The latest version of WinZip (free at http://www.winzip.com) will handle this with no problemUnzip all the archives into one directory. Open the t12.zip file. Extract as usual."I trust that this will make it easier for more people to enjoy.Lawrence Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-14-02, 11:55 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Tapiola Re-Uploaded" Cool ... Now I have to go download Tapiola ... My wifes sister lives in Champion, and I have spent more time on/in Lake Michigamme than most of the fish that live there. I was up there two weeks ago and I think I heard some of your trains off to the Northwest. oboe

Feb-15-02, 00:08 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Tapiola Re-Uploaded" Hearing trains? Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it.One thing that Tapiola is missing is trains. I wonder if Tapiola should purchase some? What do you think?Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-15-02, 00:27 AM (EST) 8. "RE: Tapiola Re-Uploaded" Fictious ?? ... Fictious ??? NOoooo .. This is da U.P. of Michigan, where fictious things are real, and real things don't exist. As for "doesn't have any trains", you may think that it doesn't have trains, but you have obviously given your route over to some irresponsible simmers ... I was quietly cross country skiing near the lake, and was almost run over by an un-electrified Acela set with 73 cars. Strange, I saw the little white "hookup" wires overhead, but there weren't any tracks. That's when I saw the "send/don't send" sign posted on a us2fir1 tree next to the lake. ( hmmmm, maybe I'm fictious ?!? )oboe Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
