Feb-11-02, 09:35 PM (EST) "GM&O WESTERN DIVISION ROUTE UPDATE" Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let those interested know the GM&O WESTERN DIVISION is comming up on it's 10th mile. There is still and will be much work to do, but our route builder is working feverishly to complete the first installment which is the GM&O "AIRLINE".
We are working as hard as we can to make this route as prototypical as possible for 1970. More locomotives will be needed to complete this route, like an RS-1, GP35 dynamic with Alco trucks and no plow, and a GP38-2 no plow or dynamics.
As many know, this route is huge and will take several different downloads to complete the entire...the milage total if all of the route is to be downloaded will be over 400 miles of single track railroad.That's alot for Lawrence to handle, but he's very good at it, and he has been a great pleasure to work with!At the current time we are looking at 12 months plus to complete
the Western Division...and I am sure there will be many addon packs after that. We hope to hear your thoughts on the route, and will upload screen shots soon.

It is going to be a pleasure to go blasting down the airline. Have you thought about building the line to Ridgley yard so we can have a place to sort cars. Thanks and good luck..

We are thinking about Ridgley yard as a good place to start...I'll need to confer with our master route builder and see if he can squeeze it in..it may be included in a Springfield GM&O switching route sometime down the road...but I am glad to hear of your interest in the GM&O...E-mail me if you don't mind at k0iri@aol.com.
