Zanesville Steel is a developing steel industry located on the WV&O portion of the Bodiddly RR. Zanesville Steel is a large steel mill comprised of objects made by Raymond Reeves (the wooden bridge you see pictured), Nickf (concrete silos pictured), Deanville (blast furnace in the background) and Enocell (support buildings not shown)and of course, MSTS (everything else). The Sante Fe engine is 3dtrains PRO edition. If you would like to see more pictures of Zanesville Steel in development go to:www.edmafamily.com/msts/index.htmand use the links to get to the Bodiddly RR page, then look for the Progress Report link.Rich Garber Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Makes me think of the accident year or so ago of CSX train hitting the back of a coal train heading to steel facility in zanesville. The engines where on there side man crazy EPA had to dig out whole bunch of dirt too cause some diseil fuel leaked hehe. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Retro-Metro Hot-Metal Train is done and should be uploaded this weekend (I'm real pleased with this one as I not only figured out the secrets of getting AI trains to pass you from behind, but I added a whole lot of extra AI trains that I didnt originally plan on having). Feb-08-02, 00:33 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Bodiddly RR update: Zanesville Steel" heh heh... Nah, it's a good distance away. Bill (the longyhairfella) pointed out to me via email, normally that type of setup isn't done in regular steel mill fashion. Normally coke delivery would be setup on a highline where the coke was dropped and then ferry to skip track which ferries the coke to the furnace. In looking at the setups I couldn't find anything close to duplicating such a thing so I opted to deliver the ore at the back end of the mill. The only thing I saw close to fitting the bill for a highline approach is Jim Ward's EL track I seen him post pictures of. I hope for future routes we'll be able to accurately portray this part of steel mill operation but as of now I don't think it can be done.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
