Feb-07-02, 01:04 AM (EST) "Foliage textures" I am building a New Zealand themed route and using a variety of vegetation to detail the land around the track.
Most of the NZ foliage is not deciduous therefore I would like to change the coding to enable summer foliage only.
I would like to have the snow textures available only.
I suspect it is something to do with the .sd files but what I see in there is beyond me to change without advice.
Can someone help me with this please.

Dvdhoven posted a guide to hacking s and sd files a ways back, I can't remember what the thread was called. Here's the SD hack you're looking for:shape ( Tree9.s
ESD_Detail_Level ( 6 )
ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 252 )
ESD_Bounding_Box ( -7.40841 0 -6.42983 7.31669 12 5.94656 )
)For the ESD_Alternative_Texture value, here's the key:

0 = no alternative textures
1 = alternative texture in snow
256 = alternative texture in night
257 = alternative textures both in snow and night
252 = alternative textures in all season folders So in the SD file you want to hack, just change that number in ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 252 ) to ESD_Alternative_Texture ( 0 ) and you'll get nothing but summer textures for that tree shape. Or change it to 1 for only snow or not-snow. No need to hack the s file at all for something that simple. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
