Feb-04-02, 10:10 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Blast Furnace Goes Beta" Three cheers for deanville!!!!Hey Rich (Garber), I know youll be in here soon!!! if you need any help or advice as far as support buildings, raw material storage and layout, ore bridges (cranes), and track layout, then just giveme a call or E-mail me....I have intimate knowlegde of the above mentioned as I worked at a defunct steelmill for a year or so and I have lots of prototype pics which show some of these things.PS- you did a great job with the refineries of the East metro using msts default objects so you should be able to whip up an orebridge, highline(a trestle with tracks for offloading into the oreyard or bins, and is adjacent to the Blast furnace), blowerhouse, water treatment plant etc pretty easy i should think!!!Longhairedwizard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-05-02, 09:57 AM (EST) 7. "RE: Blast Furnace Goes Beta" Thanks for the offer. I can't seem to locate any detailed pictures of the actual molten metal loading areas, so I took the easy way out and covered the loading area. Any suggestions? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-05-02, 10:00 PM (EST) 9. "RE: Blast Furnace Goes Beta" Excellent work. Did you use 3dcanvas? If so which version and can you input data via the keyboard? I might upgrade my copy if they got rid of the mouse only thing. Best Regards

Feb-06-02, 10:23 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Blast Furnace Goes Beta" Hobart - Yes, I use 3D Canvas. I think the current rev (5.5?) allows direct point editing, but I use rev 5.04 right now. There is a script available at the Amabilis site that allows direct point editing but I haven't used it.Patm41 - Hmmmm, don't know what is going on. I may have a problem with the ace, but I know from experience that these structures are very dark in the real world. Can you suggest (via an updated ace?) a more appropriate texture darkness? You could just use a solid color bmp and convert it to dv_blast2.ace for testing. dv_blast2.ace has no transparency. Thanks in advance,Deanville Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
