Feb-03-02, 12:30 PM (EST) "Two things..." First, will the grain elevator fella please repost and please upload it to the uploads. I gotta an idea where I can place it on my route. Or if you could email the grain elevator to me at rgarber@vnet.net if you are able.Second, I've done something to my browser to where when I go to download a file I get a blank screen. Right after I hit Accept that is. I can download from some other sites, but not all. Any help on this would be appreciated. And yes, it's my fault. Feb-04-02, 01:53 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Two things... " Hi Rich.... not sure your blank screen situation is unique unto you. I've been having the same thing happen on several posted links for other websites and/or pictures. What I've discovered is that on links where this happens, it happens only when I use MS Internet Explorer... if I use Netscape on the same link, it will open it up in a new window just fine. Same goes for Konqueror, the web browser that that's part of a Linux desktop environment. It too opens the link that Explorer won't. I figured that I hosed something up on Windows or Explorer and hadn't gotten around to looking at it yet. I've also found that if I copy and paste a posted link into the Explorer window I'm using to read the forum, it will then open that link, have to hit the back button then to get back to the forum. Just seems to to go tango uniform when it tries to open the link in a new window. I wonder if something has changed Java-wise here on the message board that might be causing it. Yet another one of life's little mysteries that make you say.... oooorf!! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-04-02, 10:05 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Two things... " Appreciate the info. It's getting irritating cause I can't download anything from the library. Same thing happens on my own site. But at AVSIM it works. As for what caused it I don't know either. I did install a version of whatever it was, maybe IE6? I thought I was updating Outlook Express but looks like everything got updated.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
