So whenever Nels gets it online, it will be online.Please, please, please, follow the instructions. When I first started creating Tapiola, I wasn't going to release it; therefore, I didn't think one point through. The 250r curves! Tapiola makes ample use of them. Instructions are included to help you install, if need be.Tapiola--A Finnish Dream is a fictious line based on historical data from the 1800's and current rail operations in the area. Version 1 of Tapiola--A Finnish Dream covers the geography of the Michigamme Quadrangle of the USGS 7.5 minute topographical map. You will have to do some fiddling with some files to enable them. I've used them extensively in my route with no ill effects at all.
I don't have the procedure in my head, but a search here will get you the answers.
Also OkrasaGhia's XTracks will enable the 250m-curves along with a bunch of other track-pieces.

Since their activation is not part of the default MSTS installation, and since their activation requires you to manually edit the tsection.dat file, and since editing the tsection.dat file *wrong* can cause you to reinstall the entire sim, you have to be very careful.But, they are not "bad."Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Leave it alone, and you'll be ok...That's strange, I don't think I did any of those things,yet I"m pretty sure I have those curves for use. Maybe not. Oh well. The only ones I know of are the double track ones, right?I use the double track ones alot in my route. The drawback is they don't fit together properly and you get bumps in the track. The single 250r10d, 250r20d, and 250r5d can be activated by procedures that have been reported in this forum some time ago. Also, the XTract group will activate them for you. Finally, if you follow the instructions in Tapiola, you will be able to activate them.Unfortunately, it didn't occur to me when I decided to release this that I was using the single 250r's. Caused crashing on one beta computer. It was only at the last minute last night that I decided to include the instructions with the archive and upload it. I've, often, wished I had those track pieces available. Now, I have hope.
I haven't checked the File Library, yet, so I don't know how big the route file is.
I hope I can download it. I'll, sure, give it a hell-of-a-try.
My phone line has been moved to a DSL cabinet (which won't be available for another year), and my connection rate, on this D****D dial-up modem, through fibre optic cable, dropped from 49,333 to, an irratic, 26,4000. It SUCKS.

I've tried, twice, to download Tapiola. It's an estimated 5 1/2 hour download on my system. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the File Library, my ISP, or this shitty, irratic, 26,400 connection, but both times, it timed out.
I wish I could get your route, but it seems I'll not be able to enjoy it.
I am wondering if it would be possible to get the information needed to make the 250 curves available, either by e-mail or by posting the info here?
Maybe I could at least get something out of this.
I might try to find somebody with a better connection to download it for me, but until then, I would like to have the 250 curves to use. I've been wishing those curves were available for a while, now. They would help on a route I'm working on.
Any help would be appreciated.

So it crashed!.

The darn dynamic track is breaking my couplers of the oil run at -88.06243 46.59333.
It shows up in the activity editor as a sawtooth, and there's another on up the second siding, the same area, but farther along.
I stopped an engine on it in explore mode and the bogie was at 90 degrees trying to find the track.
I love the housetrailers running by their selves and the cars running sideways lol Regards

I already tried that last night.
Cotton Chopper won't let me select it. Something about adjoining object not loaded. I've got everything ever invented for MSTS, purty near....Regards
