Jan-27-02, 08:18 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Route Ideas" I am working on a Seattle to Portland and maybe beyond but I got sidetracked into doing a Port Angeles to Port Townsend route. It is the old and abandonded Chicago, Minniapolis St.Paul and Pacific route. Since I live at Lake Sutherland just west of Port Angeles, WA, I can do reaserch on the route at the local library and museum. Using Microdem helped a lot with the terrain. Being retired gives me a lot of time to play.

Feb-02-02, 09:20 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Route Ideas" I'd also love to see that route, having grown up in an NP family, with a conductor dad in the 50's - 70's. I rode most everything mainline and branches around the area and have extensive photos, from turn of the century through the mid 70's. Check out my website for some great ideas! http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shire/4139/Steve Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

who remembers getting stopped several times a week (or more) in Fond du Lac by the Soo and Northwestern trains going through town! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
