Jan-26-02, 08:09 PM (EST) "Another question from a Newbie..." OK, I hope this isn't a repeat, but I have gotten MicroDem to work per LawrenceKellie's instructions, downloaded and merged all my quads. Then used the route geometry extractor in MSTS and made my route. Finally I used Demex to change my xyz file into something MSTS should recognize. I go into the route editor and when I open my route, viola!, nothing! Just a flat as a pancake swath of green. The route geo extractor worked, but for some reason Demex doesn't seem to have done the job. Any suggestions? By the way, I am working on the Wisconsin Central from Waukesha to Fond Du Lac, Byron hill area. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Demex will show the number of tiles created and number of tiles skipped when it finishes. If it shows 0 created/xxx skipped, then it couldn't find any tiles to DEM-ize (I think I just created a new word there). I'm sure there are a few other possibilties, but not having selected the right tiles in the beginning in RGE is what bit me in the fanny the first couple times I used DEMs. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
