Jan-25-02, 12:48 PM (EST) "Street Running" LAST EDITED ON Jan-25-02 AT 12:50 PM (EST)I'm starting to noodle around with traction/interurban equipment with TSM. And, I was wondering if it would be possible to build a route with street running. By this, I mean tracks embedded in pavement. I've seen one or two examples of "embedded track" and they looked good. The next question is building a street with static parked car objects in the curb lane, spawned vehicles running in the inside lanes and spawned cross traffic with "Traffic Signals".Anybody working along these lines? Excuse the CTA el car in 1925 Hibbing Minnesota, but it's all that will go around the curves coupled. The biggest single drawback that I've found is a lack of REALLY sharp turnouts. By simply raising the level of the road section slightly, you get a fairly realistic looking street with tracks in it. I do have cars runing down the outside lanes of the street, and have been able to make them stop when a train makes a turn across oncoming traffic by using the signals.
