Jan-21-02, 04:39 PM (EST) "New BNSF Timetables out." The BNSF has started to use the new timetables as of Sunday. Janurary 20th, 2002. You'll notice that alot of the Divisions are missing, well...they are, they have been combained in order to save money, and some changes also. I do not know if Altamont Press will be releasing the new timetables anytime soon, but you can download them from the BNSF website.Note: When making a prototypical route, and have access to a timetable of that era, would it be possible to include it as a .PDF file in the route?http://www.bnsf-ttc.com/bnsftime/index.htmlThe ones I normally have handy are Northwest No. 1, Montana No. 4, Powder River No. 5, System Special Instructions No. 7, Signal Aspects and Indications, General Code of Operating Rules, Air Brake and Train Handling Rules.I'd check out the crossover speedlimits for the Whitefish/Sandpoint route, you'd be surprised by the speeds on this route!Brian E. Jan-21-02, 05:22 PM (EST) 1. "RE: New BNSF Timetables out." Oh Yeah...i forgot to say that they now include the grade charts with the new timetables. Most say the percentage, some don't, but do show the Milepost and Elevation. I was shocked seeing that there was a tiny grade in Auburn, seeing that I always thought of Seattle-Tacoma being flat.Brian E. Bundridge

Jan-21-02, 07:33 PM (EST) 2. "RE: New BNSF Timetables out." I noticed some of the speeds through the crossovers between Whitefish and Shelby increased from the previous timetable too. MOW must have been busy! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-21-02, 08:44 PM (EST) 3. "RE: New BNSF Timetables out." From what I understand, there has been TONS and TONS of work out there, what makes my trip in the summer even more eventful (no MOW, no MOW!!) It will be very interesting to see the real deal in action. Maybe I'll record the trip and make a activity out of it Hehe, are you too busy to work on the grades on the Whitefish route?? Brian E.
