Jan-17-02, 11:31 AM (EST) "XYZMerge question and or problem for Lawrence K." When merging two quads, using XYZMerge, with sea level values the intermediate xyz files(the ones with the quad names) have sea level altitude values of zero. That is good. The final xyzresults file leaves out the coordinates that have the zero altitudes. That is very bad. When you look at resultsdem using microdem you see black space where the sea is. It should be blue. When you use demex, you now get cliffs where the sea should be. There is nothing in the route editor that can over come this problelm. We need a tweak in XYZMerge or a program that when it sees a zero elevation in one of the intermediate files copies the coordinates over to the xyzresults file with a zero elevation added. What think you?

I think that if you look up "sea level" in the MicroDem help file, specifically notice what is said under the Options Menu help page, you may find some information about this.I think that if you do a search in this forum using the words "sea level" as your search term and checking the Archive box, you may find some more information about this. Finally, I think that the programmer of XYZMerge will not update it, I haven't seen or heard of/from him in quite a long time.Lawrence Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
