Jan-12-02, 02:07 PM (EST) 1. "RE: Advanced Warning!! :)" I am retired from CSX, and so I will pass on a little advice. Please stay off of the BNSF right of way, unless you have written permission to enter it, which since 9-11 you probably won't get. Then besure to have pix. id on your person at all times, and I would even suggest documentation to prove that you are a US citizen such as a birth certificate.WHY?Train crews on most railroads have been instructed to report any persons on or near railroad property that do not appear to belong there or have a camera in hand. Local police, or the local railroad special services (railway police) are checking out such persons as quickly as possible. Since there are a number of critical structures in the M.P. area, and this is a super-critical mainline of BNSF, they are probably keeping close watch. I noticed a number of railway employees around critical structures on the old AT&SF last October when my wife and I rode from Chicago to Williams Jct., AZ on the SWC. Canyon Diablo bridge appeared to have guards on it.J. H. Sullivan, P.E.

Jan-12-02, 11:02 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Advanced Warning!! :)" True, and we don't plan on trespassing. But out in the passes, there really isn't much of the name of "guards" or Special Agents up there, were probably going to be staying in a hotel for 2 of the nights, and camp out the rest...most likely at Java.Brian E.
