Jan-12-02, 01:33 AM (EST) "Sound Loops" Hi Everybody,I have just downloaded the PO&N 4 and the Marias Pass 3.0. Everything looks excellent but I am having a problem with the sounds. When I tried to play either of these routes, the following happens: When the brakes release on the locomotive with the woosh sort of sound, I will hear this sound continually. And if I honk the horn, it will keep honking, the same will happen if I get the alarm sound from trying to switch the reverser to neutral when the train is moving, the sound repeats continually.Does anybody know what is causing these problems and how I should fix them? Thanks for the help,kwk100 Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-12-02, 08:43 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Sound Loops" It's likely that your sound card is to blame, not the route. If you aren't running with the newest sound card drivers go get them if you can. Sound cards, unlike video cards, get new drivers about once an epoch so you may have to really hunt to see if anything new exists unless you're lucky and have a Soundblaster. If new drivers dopesn't help or they just don't exist, try turning down harware acceleration on the properties panel on windows control panel/system. How much that will help is dubious as the sound card generally runs as best it can when hardware acceleration is at the max but some people claim otherwise. When the sounds skipping the computer/game doesn't freeze up does it? If it does, then it also could be a DirectX or video error.-Andy
