Jan-07-02, 11:53 AM (EST) "Red Track Lines?" I've been trying for several days to play with the Route Editor, beginning with the Route Geometry Editor to create a route in a different part of the country. However, after creating the tiles in RGE, shutting down MSTS, and opening the file in Route Editor, there are no "red lines" where the track's supposed to go. I've even tried modifying the NEC file, starting in the RGE, but no luck. I've toggled the Track DB menu item numerous times, but to no avail. Any ideas? Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

They aren't even precise enough to use for getting coordinates for a marker file which displays marker poles in the route editor as navigation/track laying aids. Do a search on marker files and DEMs on the forum and you should find some information/tips on making accurate marker files and real life terrain from DEMs. As you have probably also noticed all the RGE does is create empty flat tiles. You need DEMs and DEMExtractor to put real terrain in your route unless you want to or don't mind hand carving the terrain.-Andy
