"RE: Illuminated Switchstands and Distant Switch Signals" LAST EDITED ON Jan-04-02 AT 09:55 AM (EST)When the file appears on the forum, it has an edited BNSF script to include the switchstands, BNSF signals, and the searchlights. Let me know how it works. It loaded OK in my BNSF route.
That updated file is also at the URL I gave in message above.

The guy that did the Marias3 has made some major improvements, specially on single track signalling. No more an AI right into your nose, when you passed a high green.
It would be nice when that could be included.By the way, your work is looking awfully good as usual.Dick van den Hoven

I don't have that route. If you could email me the signal scripts for the route, I like to see them.

Jan-05-02, 10:07 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Illuminated Switchstands and Distant Switch Signals" Hank,I downloded the files and installed on my route. Here's a pic of the first installation.Message Areas - "Illuminated Switchstands and Distant Switch Signals" – image 2All the installed SL and BNSF v2.2 signals work fine. The switchstands sometimes fail to rotate completely and stop about 3/4 of the way through. This happens infrequently, and I can't see any particular reason for it. Doesn't seem to be related to detail level or frame rate. I haven't installed enough to see if it's a problem everywhere, or just in this first area. There are about 500 objects on this tile. Any ideas?Excellent work, and thanks again.Bill Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I've asked about that problem in the forum, but no reason that I can understand has been explained. It happens to the semaphores I'm working on, too. I'm using 3D Canvas Pro for the graphics. Its documentation on MSTS animation is non-existant, so I've gone with what little it has relating to generic animation. I came up with the quality settings idea because I can run these animated objects flawlessly on my notebook which can run MSTS with all quality settings at 100% and can still get 30+ FPS. They run as you describe on my slow desktop. Thanks for the compliments, they look great with the tie extentions.Hank Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
