Dec-17-01, 00:15 AM (EST) 1. "RE: in need of a Bridge" For myself I think the blue is a little too light. Concerning the bridge, I've been hacking around with it a little, based on your posts in the other thread, and have started putting together a curved chord Pratt truss. The problem is that aside from the one picture you posted I can't find any other information on the bridge itself.If you can get me some more detail maybe I can put something together for you. From the single picture I can't tell if it's single or double track, a straight or sub-divided truss, etc.E-mail me at nfitzsimmons@earthlink.net, and we can discuss.Nick

Dec-17-01, 00:41 AM (EST) 2. "RE: in need of a Bridge" it's Double track, the Distance im not 100% sure on but i think it's about 1.2 Miles long it's actually a Lift Bridge, the center lifts. for the Most part it is Straight with the Small exception of the Philly side it Curves Slightly to the right for about maybe 2 blocks if even that, i wish i could come up with some more Information, im going to try Emailing either NJT or Northfolk Southern and maybe see if i can get Specs on the Bridge, but considering September 11th i don't know how they would or if they would give out that Informationbut I'll see how lucky i am in retrieving any information. and if i am Successful i will pass it on to you, and anyone else for that matter that are Modeling the area

Dec-17-01, 05:37 PM (EST) 5. "RE: in need of a Bridge" I found a pic of the bridge in a book on NJT. It's not a very good reference pic, but it gives you an idea of it's scale.

Dec-17-01, 08:23 PM (EST) 6. "RE: in need of a Bridge" The weekend works for me as far as additional pictures goes. With the holidays coming up I have a lot of other stuff to do, and I'd also like to get a little work done on the Rio Grande as well. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-17-01, 09:18 PM (EST) 7. "RE: in need of a Bridge" Hey, man, a boat was good enough for George Washington, you gotta have a bridge? A new 3D cad would be ideal for that, but I think you could also kitbash something close from a few jp2bridge7s and some ktowers or something.
Here's a zip of watermid.ace that might get you closer to what you're looking for colorwise;
