Dec-15-01, 10:48 PM (EST) "PRSL Route" I've started construction of the Pennsylvania Reading Shoreline route between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Besides the main route there are branches to Bordentown, Mulica Hill, Cape May
and some northern points. Trackwork is about 60% complete. I was happy to see somebody ask for help on doing the Delair bridge. I have the 3D modeler, but it's early in the learning curve yet.I put some screenshots up on a website to share. Any and all comments and suggestions will be gratefully received!Fred Goepfert<http://www.geocities.com/fgoepfert> Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-16-01, 09:09 AM (EST) 4. "RE: PRSL Route" Bob, I'm glad to see that someone else is interested in doing this impressive bridge. I used to live in Cherry Hill. One of my favorite railfan spots was at the Jersey tower, looking towards the bridge.Since you live so close, I guess that you have all the pictures that you need, but here's an interesting one, showing the bridge from the NJ side, in the raised position.

Dec-16-01, 11:01 AM (EST) 6. "RE: PRSL Route" Thanks Hank,
I had previously discovered your great site.
I downloaded a bunch of interlocking diagrams from it.My other source is the book, "Atlantic City Railroad" by
W. George Cook and William J. Coxely (West Jersey Chapter - National Railway Historical Society, which has a wealth of detailed track maps and pictures. My virtual PRSL is selectively compressed and set in the twenties, although I plan to update it so I can run some PATCO traffic from Lindenwald, and show the junction at Haddonfield.I'm putting a track map of what exists so far up on the website today.Fred Goepfert

Dec-16-01, 10:18 PM (EST) 7. "RE: PRSL Route" Hi Hank,
How are the B & O signals coming along?
I was wondering if you know where one might find diagrams and drawings of DL&W or P.R.R. M.U.s for 3d modeling.
I have the drawings from the Robert Schoenberg site. Are there any others that you might know of?
Thanks,
