"RE: kinda silly question i think" This must be done for each route on which you want to use the object.S and SD files go in the Shapes folder for the route, ACE files go in the Textures folder for the route. If you have alternative textures (snow, night, etc.) they go in the appropriate sub-folder under Textures. You must also make a matching entry in the Ref file for that route to be able to use the object. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-14-01, 10:48 AM (EST) 3. "RE: kinda silly question i think" Hmmm, maybe you need to clarify the question. "i got some houses and sutff like that that i want to import in my route" would indicate that you have custom objects that you either made yourself or downloaded from somewhere. If you're "totally new" to the route editor, is it a good choice to start out as complicated as possible? Don't get me wrong, if you want to use custom objects in your first route that's your right, it's your hair that you'll be tearing out, not mine.
My suggestion would be to start simple, make a small throwaway route to get used to the editor bugs, and back up the files frequently.
If what you're asking is "How do I get the objects from all the other routes into my route, that goofy extractor only gave me a few objects and no buildings", that's a little easier.
