Dec-12-01, 06:07 PM (EST) "Two-Level Stations" I ran into some problems while doing the trackwork and switchwork at Queensboro station on the NYCTA "7" and "N" routes in MSTS Route Editor. This station has two levels with one island platform on each level. Jeffrey. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-12-01, 08:55 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Two-Level Stations" After creating the NYCTA "N" Route using Route Editor, I tried to create an activity for it using Activity Editor but I got "Broken Path" message. I loaded the route into Route Editor and checked for blue lines between track joints but I couldn't find them. I deleted the trackwork and switchwork at two-level Queensboro station, created simpler trackwork and switchwork on one level of the station, and I was able to create an activity for the route. I think that the Activity Editor can't handle complex trackwork and switchwork. I thought that there is complex trackwork and switchwork at a large station in Amtrak Northeast Corridor route. Dec-13-01, 12:45 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Two-Level Stations" Just curious... did any of your platform markers cross each other? That might of caused some problems, if they crossed. Even if they crossed on two different levels. I'll have to experiment a bit and try to make and break a bi-livel station.-Andy

Dec-13-01, 10:26 PM (EST) 6. "RE: Two-Level Stations" I created platforms using 3D Canvas Pro. To create the two-level station, I laid track and platform on lower level then laid track and another platform on upper level, pressing the "Y" key after laying a section of track. After laying the track and platform on upper level, I selected the track sections on lower level and pressed the "Y" key. I don't know why I got the "Broken Path" error in Activity Editor. I thought that the trackwork was too complex for Activity Editor. Jeffrey. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
