Dec-11-01, 06:57 PM (EST) "Accuracy in placement" Hi All!
I've been reading with great interest throughout the forums. Had MSTS now for some weeks and hoping to plan and design routes - thanks to you all for the very useful information. I stand in awe and somewhat reeling under the deluge of information.I've dabbled at some very minor tests and experimentations with MTMS wanting to be able to accuractly place markers, shapes track etc onto the tiles. I been using MS Autoroute express Europe 2000 which besides roads does have a certain amount of railway route with stations. Autoroute has a Location Sensor for Lat. and Lon. that can be set to decimal degrees to 5 decimal places - same as MSTS. It also has a Measuring Tool that can be set to km or miles for those who wish to place mile-posts accurately.I post this in the hope it will be of help to some and perhaps simulate users to experiment further with other programs.Best Regards, Andrew.
