Dec-11-01, 05:45 PM (EST) "What's with all the arguing?" The amount of bickering between forum members is begining to become overwhelming. Without mentioning any names, all combatants seem to have at least one valid point to there credit. The original intention of this site seems to have gotten lost in what I sometimes call the "mine's bigger" mentality. Please all, stop the bickering and let's get back to helping each other out and modeling and running trains. This site has been a great resource for DEMs, signals, modeling, activity creation and a whole lot more. Let's try to keep it that way.Off the soapbox. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-12-01, 06:09 AM (EST) 6. "RE: What's with all the arguing?" I think this happens in every forums. Its something like this:1) You got up with your wrong foot, your car was crashed, another word: Your day has been BAD.2) Another one got up with the wrong foot, the car in nr 1 above crashed with this one's car,Another one has a really bad day!3) Both logs onto the same forums, reads about something, and since they both are angry, they just starts to give others a bad day.4) The happy people that did awake with the correct foot, can't understand thoose bad reading, and starts to argue about something.5) The people that has a bad day gets reaaaaaaaaaalllyyy messed
up ,and we have it gone!!!Hehe..I have found out with my time on the net since i started in 1994, that in every ten people, there is always 1 with a bad day. So think about it, if 100 different people use a forum, we already have ten that you really should not mess that up. My problems in all theese year is to find out , who. The bad thing is that you now it, AFTER posting your message. T.K Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-12-01, 08:39 PM (EST) 11. "RE: What's with all the arguing?" My dad invented inventing. Arguing? Who's arguing? Are you accusing me of arguing? I could argue about that, but I'm not in the mood.
I just took a squint at a copy of my DD-214, and all it says is that I was released from obligation for any further active service. It didn't say anything about rescinding the oath, tho, so I am still sworn to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foriegn and domestic. That includes the First Amendment, you know, freedom of speech? That includes arguing, and if I feel like arguing with the argumentative types I do, otherwise I ignore their silly prating. They all have a constitutional right to express themselves in whatever egotistical spoiled-brat fashion pleases them, and I have the right to respond or not respond as the mood strikes me.The price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance - and sometimes listening to a bunch of obnoxious crap.
